Dentist Day

Today we took a trip to the dentist. It was Daelynn;s first visit and she did awesome! i was so proud of my little munchkin. She got her teeth cleaned and all checked and she is cavity free =) I thought that the dentist was going to be mad that she still uses a bink but she wasnt, she actually told me that a pacifier does not start doing damage to a child's teeth until after 3 years old. Personally I would never let my child have one that old, but it was a little reassuring to know that i wasnt damagin her by letting her have it. Kadin was also cavity free and he did alright, but he got a little upset... She said that his teeth look great and that we just need to start flossing a little more in his front teeth as he has close contacts with his teeth just like me. They both will have another cleaning and check up in september and i hope it goes well then too =)

As for right now, they both have healthy teeth and are both napping =)

A Day of fun

Today was a good day! We went to Kadin's friend, Hunter's, birthday party. He turned 4 today, his party was toy story themed! The kids all had a ton of fun. Before the party I took Kadin to cash in his coins. I started this little tradition with Kadin when my husband left for afghanistan. Kadin saves all the change i give him in a jar and about once a month we take it to a coinstar and cash it in and he gets to spend the money that he gets on whatever he wants. Today, he got $21.12, he bought a bat with a ball and thing with 52 pieces of chalk, and 4 toy story hot wheels cars =)

I really miss my husband today, but that is nothing new =/ Going to watch the season premiere of Army Wives and Homecoming tonight... yes i will probably need a box of tissues... wish me luck =)

The reason I started this blog =)

Hi my name is Alicia. I am a marine wife, who has spent more time away from my husband in the past 3 years then I have with him. 5 days after we got married, he went to Japan on an unaccompanied tour. He came back and then shortly deployed to Afghanistan. We have an adorable little boy who will be 3 years old in July. He is very smart and energetic. We have a gorgeous little girl who is 13 months old. She is very loving and happy. I started this blog because I thought that it could help me deal with everyday struggles and get my thoughts out.

Today the kids and I hosted a huggies pull ups party at our house with friends from the playgroup that we belong to at Camp Pendleton. This playgroup has been amazing and I have made some amazing friends that are helping me through this deployment and the kids. After the party we went to a friend's birthday party, it was Spongebob themed and the kids had a blast.

My husband is currently out on a mission and we have not heard from him in awhile but i just try to keep my head up and know that he will be ok. Some days that is easier said then done, but today we made it through =)
